Wow, that is a heated post! I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the people you worked with. I personally have always been surprised by the lack of protection the residents use in that clinic. They never wear gowns and do surgery with bare arms. I know during one surgery, I was sprayed with semi-bloody water from the irrigation he was using. He also dropped a bloody instrument on my shoe ( thank goodness they were leather!) But I agree double gloving is wrong. I worked on a patient with HPV in that clinic but the nurse had actually told me she thought he had HIV. The resident corrected it after the fact. I didn't double glove in the mean time, though. I think you make valid points, but you would have benefitted from taking a few deep breaths before putting it in writing. I make the same mistake sometimes. :)
Perhaps... :) I have a way of doing that too! And sometimes, I think more valuable lessons are learned when they are indeed addressed. Opinions are opinions, someones own view.....yet they are also what we base our own beliefs on. Confrontations allow for growth, understanding and maturity. what is in your head is usually in your heart. I have always felt that in releasing those thoughts, whether right or wrong, you become educated in spirit and mind :)
